# Post v1accountreferralsattribution

> Records the inviter behind a web sign-up from the `?ref=` code the sign-in screen carried, under the same rule the bot applies to `/start ref_<code>`: first write wins, self-referral is impossible, and the row is written only while the programme is enabled and only for a customer who has not yet paid for anything. Always 200 with an outcome, because a link that did not count is not a failure of the request.
